Karunyadeepam, which was established in 1998 by like-minded people, stands for Action, Service and Hope for AIDS is a charitable Trust helping HIV/AIDS infected people, their families and society. Over the years, Karunyadeepam has made vast strides through a vast range of services including advocacy, capacity building, research, preventive services, awareness, treatment, care, support and rehabilitation of HIV affected persons with a special focus on women and children.

1.	To create awareness about HIV/AIDS in the community.
2.	To provide both voluntary and anonymous HIV testing in a non-coercive and non-stigmatized environment.
3.	To provide care and support services for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs) that include supportive counseling, medical care, treatment and rehabilitation with a special focus on women and children.
4.	To provide a character-based comprehensive Adolescent Health Education with special emphasis on awareness, life skills and knowledge about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
5.	To provide personalized quality medical care to patients with HIV/AIDS irrespective of their ability to afford care and treatment.
6.	To interact with other institutions of learning and constantly update our knowledge of illness and incorporate new teachings into our treatment and care of the patients.
7.	To network with other voluntary, state and non-governmental organizations.
8.	To conduct research into the cause and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
9.	To provide opportunities for the elderly with HIV/AIDS to live comfortably with adequate care and medical facilities.
10.	To facilitate the upliftment of socio-economically weaker sections of society by legitimate and constitutional means irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
